Drabble: Aldux 5

The deserts of Aldux 5 are green, its sands the spreading infinitude of infinitesimally small emeralds. Its dust glistens like the sea. Towering crystals break through the vast and empty plain, the size of houses. An emerald the size of a house. They hardly cast shadows, but nearly clear, the sun passes through them in green rainbows.

It is strange to see a place that is green but is also dead. There is no life on Aldux 5, no misers hoarding its treasures. It is all treasure, and therefore untreasured. There is no one on the planet to love it.
