Henceforth, Wolfhead

Defeat came, not in a moment, but in a slow despair. I do not know if we could have won, only that our heartbroken men could never have won even in the best of circumstances. They were destroyed in spirit first, and the line would not hold. How many broken promises have they suffered? What dream or future did they have to hold onto? You accuse them of foolishness, laxity? They had no hope, no reason to fight, or at least, none that I could wake them up to. Now, they are lost, murdered or enslaved; some might have escaped.
