Short Reads: Chutes & More Chutes

Well, it is a more arduous task than I first expected, getting my short stories up onto Amazon. I’m taking things step by step, and am about a third of the way through. There’s almost always some frustration with each upload. Many times now, trying to move onto the next step, Amazon has just refreshed the page and erased whatever data I had just put in. I have kept myself from swearing, but I feel a cold dread every time I go to save, wondering if everything is about to be erased; it’s not unlike playing chutes and ladders, only it’s all chutes.

I’ve also been trying to fix a problem with the collection’s cover, the one that I made without AI. I’m trying to get the spine to align correctly, but while I’ve only changed the position of the spine, Amazon has now declared that it can’t print this: No one could read the text on this cover. It was fine with the text before, the text which hasn’t changed, but now the text is unacceptable. It’s all very tiresome. Anyway, here are six more of the short stories from While the Elephants Danced now available as individual short stories.

Just a reminder, it is cheaper just to get the collection, While the Elephants Danced, but I suppose if someone wants to try me on just a story before investing in the rest, it’ll only cost a dollar.
