Read: The Werewolf Epic
The Addition:
He looks into the pool where tint of red
bleeding over the evening sky’s image
colors in crimson-murderous that host:
the marshaled stars in regal companies
about their head, the luminary queen.
And there his face reflects as pale as hers,
less bright, but still ready to change its hue
when hungering desire calls his name.
Awakened thus, he finds the world is so
colored; this act, his hunt, changes heaven,
this death may mold the earth, or so it seems.
When to the stars themselves, not muddy ponds,
up turns his gaze, they’re found unfazed,
the lords and dames about that brilliant disk.
The cosmos’ spinning wheel herein yet turns.
I love your last line Sheldon! ☺
