Poem: Ere you Go

Whatever wonders meet your eye
within the darkness of his lie,
do not forget the truth I show,
revealed in light before you go.

Whatever secrets you will hear
whispered into your waiting ear,
hold fast these precepts preached to all,
which never yet have caused a fall.

Be patient and do not despise
the old words spoken by the wise;
the claptrap of the present age
is nothing but a fancy cage.
