Some say the sun will rise again, but none can tell me where or when. Some say the moon's more than a dream, that long ago, the stars did gleam, and everyday their chant goes on "It's darkest just before the dawn." Yet none of them have ever told what darkness is, though young or old.
I love this! Makes me think of today – this morning during the commute to my sons’ school. Not only the sky, but all of outside was coral color. One my sons exclaimed “Mom, this look like an alien dimension!” Which made me think of the movie The Color Out of Space where everything was bathed in purple. My son says “Ooo, can you show me that movie?” “NO, son that’s too much for you” But this piece really put into perspective the unknown, “it’s always darkest before the dawn” is a line I love from Florence Welsh & The Machine. We have to be ready no matter what the “darkness” brings. Darkness doesnt just represent a void, or feeling lost or empty; it symbolizes preparedness and a newness beginning.
