Convince Me

Convince me, you liar, you twister of words. All your weave of philosophy you cast like a web, it won’t do. No, I don’t think it will do. I don’t believe you and I’m prepared to be unreasonable about it. Sing your dirge or play your dancing tune, my ears are stopped by wax. Not to mention, I’ve heard it all before. I suppose, that is how you always get someone; everyone, in their heart of hearts, we all want to believe, don’t we? But I’ll be wiser than I once was. Wherever I go, it won’t be with you.
