A Second Chance to Love

A second chance, a fearful thing,
to fail a second time.
To pluck out a mǎlodious twang,
to flunk another rhyme.
And yet I strum and hum and sing,
accepting what music will bring.
My faith, not in myself alone,
I place in God above,
and though I croak a bitter groan,
I give it all to love.
