“Again,” came the voice from the darkness, and I tried again. “Again,” he said when I fell. I rose and fell in the darkness. “Again.”
In the darkness, on my knees, praying to, praying for, Light, praying wordless through my tears.
“Again.”
I nod and clench my teeth.
My jaw is trembling, and my knees shake as I stand.
“Again.”
Again, I think. Once more again. What’s more again? How can I, again?
My body is wracked by the pain of every again I’ve ever agained. No gain? Has there been gain?
Again.
By faith, I leap in the darkness.
