What makes a man so twisted inside? Right is wrong, wrong is right, and because innocence is innocent, that is, because he sees things truly, he wants to pervert it. If I could say that he saw things wrong, if he was either like an old pagan that saw children as imperfect things to be molded into adults, or like the backwards Victorians who believed in noble savagery, but no; he sees them as something perfect in what it is, in its desperate need to be made, and has set his heart to unmake it. He sees God and snarls.
