If everything is pointless and meaningless, why bother saying so? You feel pain? Well, isn’t that a sort of meaning? You can’t say “everything is meaningless” because meaningless is meaningless if everything is meaningless. Something has to have a meaning at some point; even if it’s irreparable, there was meaning once to know there isn’t now. It is very hard to prove such universal negatives. It is strange to say the veil is lifted while claiming to see nothing. You declare that in a world of blind men you alone can see there is no world, no men, nothing whatsoever.
