A Drabble on Babel

So basically, it goes back to the tower of Babel. You’re both using the same word to mean something. You go on for a while, thinking you understand each other, and then, suddenly, you crash. You can’t understand him. Why? Because, at bottom, he meant something else than you did, or, more accurately, neither of you meant anything in a really precise way; and when a situation came along that made you really think about what you meant, you both came to different conclusions. The tower falls before it can be finished, and now you’re not talking to each other.
