I have begun to think about the things I used to know
and how the days and weeks and years now come and go.
When ignorant, I thought I knew much more
but time withdraws, depletes the store.
I now know less and less.
Still, learning bless:
Time flies
and lies
now lose their hold.
I cut them out like mold
and better kept the truer things.
If knowledge gained a lesser knowledge brings,
I trust that God his Spirit sends to those who seek.
A knife is less upon its point and mountains at the peak.
