I wonder how the day will end, and if a vote can truly mend the sins of all the ages past; and if it's peace, will peace then last? I wonder now, and lost in thought, ponder yet the nation's rot. Whether the victor's red or blue, what hope is there we'll make it through? Death on the right, death on the left, death everywhere since the great theft. If neither side can stand to lose, how matters now which one we choose? If the right wins, the left will kill, yet if they win, to kill's their will. Is death all we can hope to get, this solitary, mad duet? I wonder on this sort of thing. No peace do any answers bring. I wonder, and I sadly sigh. Will my country now live or die?
