Genesis

A serpent’s kiss and gentle grin
has led us into sin,
and how we miss our garden home
as we in deserts roam.

Behind my walls in city grand
I have escaped God’s hand,
yet still befalls whom slayest Cain
God’s curse will then retain.

O’er all the earth evil now reigns.
But one good soul remains.
From death to birth, new start, a flood
will cleanse the world of blood.
