Shower Thoughts

So, I had two contemplative thoughts today—or stupid thoughts, depending on how you look at it. Shower thoughts, let’s call them.  Don’t know how original they are, but they seem like good points to meditate on.

First: Crossing things out with a highlighter is counterproductive.

On the literal end of things, if you cross something out with a highlighter, you’ve highlighted it. What you’ve tried to censure you’ve brought attention to. A lot of censorship seems to be following this mold.

Second: In the battle of nationalists vs. internationalists, can the nationalists around the world band together against the internationalists?

There is an immediate contradiction here, as nationalists of multiple countries coming together would be international. However, internationalists, those wanting to practically erase the borders and cultures of disparate nations, I think could be resisted if the nations stood up together against internationalistic meddling.
