2021: Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

God chose to be. He is, in a sense, existence, but he also existed, he was and is and is to come. But here is Christmas when our savior was born, when he entered the world he had made, entered our world. Here is Jesus, a baby. Imagine that: God was a baby. God would have shivered, hungered, cried. He had to go to the bathroom, had to sleep. He had a mother. God was physically joined to one of us, came out of one of us. She held Him.

And now another year begins. Will you live? Will you pick up the cross of existence and live? Be born into a world of suffering and pain, and ultimately, live in this world of death?

Every day we are given is a gift. Every hour. Every second. Live! Be filled with life. God has come; the meaning of life lies there in the manger, wrapped up in swaddling clothes. There was no room for him inside, and it was to those on the outside that the angels appeared.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Let us seek him now, as those shepherds sought him. Let us rejoice as they rejoiced: Christ is born!
