No one ever goes to Hell. The invective is rather misleading. People wake up to Hell. Little by little, they construct their own torture chambers. Like some peckish foul fattening itself for the slaughter, they gobble up sin, glutting themslves on their own wicket desires.
How surprised and shocked they are to come face to face with their own work, to suddenly realize that they’ve laid the last brick and are entombed. Hell is a series of houses with no doors or windows set along twisting roads leading back in on themselves. There is no way out, only deeper in.
