We have all heard the villain of a story justify his actions by the phrase, “Can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.”
I might like to add, if the eggs are broken, there damn well better be an omelet.
We look at empires of the past and see the broken eggs of slavery and tyranny, but we do see the omelet, that is, we see a unique culture flowering; in the better empires like Rome and Britain, we see law and order and justice championed against savagery.
America has broken a lot of eggs right now, and I don’t see even the slightest pretense of an omelet. In America’s attempt at being a pseudo-empire, it has promised an omelet without breaking eggs but instead has this day delivered many broken eggs and no omelet.
I want my omelet, or the eggs not to have been broken in the first place. But the eggs have been broken, and now we see the chief leaving the kitchen with no plans of finishing the work.
So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.
