Tears crept into his eyes, and he grinned a wild grin. The earth was falling away. He leaned over the edge of the basket as the fire filled the balloon above his head. He could feel a passing breeze upon his arms, and let out a little gasp of amazement; The Spirit carried him, and one by one, his shadow fell upon the slowly shrinking dorms below.
“Eureka,” he whispered.
He climbed into the lonely heavens, his home and his life fading away into a dot never to be seen again. He was finally free. He had escaped the factory.
