Poem: The Situation

Who wants to know can never see
under the apple tree,
for only in a child's eyes
can we forego disguise.

Who wants to rise above the earth,
in heaven finds no berth;
Who wants to fly into the sky,
his soul will never die.

The apple falls into the grass
while I am bored in class.
Who gazes out of window panes,
is he who feels his chains.
