Drabble: After the Flood

This morning, as I was heading to a doctor’s appointment, I came over a little rise and saw a huge rainbow. Its arc was so long that it appeared to be a straight line shooting right up into heaven, and its breadth seemed as wide as the distant hills. Truly stunning.

And as I kept driving, the sight faded in and out, but at one point, as I was nearing my stop, I looked ahead and saw a double rainbow.

It was truly comforting to see such natural beauty, and I thanked God for this brief taste of His glory.
