Oops, I forgot. I didn’t prepare anything for tonight. Here’s a bit of a project I’ve been working on:
I will declare that God is good
and praise His holy name.
From early days of childhood
He’s constant, still the same.
Before I knew the left from right,
or knew of right and wrong,
my God has kept me in His light.
He’s been my strength and song.
And when I’ve strayed and turned from Him,
has He discarded me?
Have I to fear a God’s cruel whim
when Jesus set me free?
I stand upon this one sure thing
—Let earth and sky dissolve—
I’ll ever love the one true King
who’s ruler over all.
