Dear Reader, I am feeling a little sick. Please enjoy a short, somewhat abrupt, offering.
There’s something in the atmosphere. I can smell it. I can feel it against my skin. It burns my eyes. It’s strange, unearthly. When I breathe, it feels like I’m drowning. My lungs ache. I think I can even see it, a haze, a miasma. It’s yellowish. It smells like dog.
There’s another thing. I’m aware of it, but nobody else sees it, nobody tastes it, feels it. This odor assaults my nose, makes my eyes blur; only I smell it, only I notice it. It gloms onto everything in a sticky film. I see it dripping from some people.
