Drabble: Castle of the Mind

There is a castle in the minds of men which they do not approach. There is still an occupant there, waiting in the castle. He, up in his tower, high on a hill, sees all our thoughts, our deeds. We cannot bear to see him. We surround the castle with deserts or thick bushes of deadly pricks. It is no help, for the master of that castle is a wizard, and he flies from those decaying buttresses over our defenses. There is no help against him.

I have resolved to go to the castle, and I must find a way.
