Drabble: The Spider and the Raven

The spider and raven conspired:

Raven: I don’t understand the humans.

Spider: Neither do I.

Raven: They never fight for their food but give it away like parents to chicks.

Spider: Their hunters are clever, but they have no bloodlust.

Raven: Perhaps, my Spider, you are too small for them to eat.

Spider: Maybe, my Raven, they don’t fight because they are like large ants.

Raven: Yes, humans are large ants. I think you’re right.

The spider shivered

Raven: What’s wrong?

Spider: I’ve eaten many ants.

Raven: and?

Spider: If they’re like ants, what spider eats them?

The raven shivered.
