Drabble: A Daydream

Lazily I lay within the cool grass gazing at the morning sky while passing clouds, in my fancy, took forms and shapes above. There was one of magnificent note, heavy and dark, which came twixt me and the sun. Its form seemed that of a couch, and as when an artist chooses to highlight some person with an halo, so nature outlined with glory this grey thing formless save that mind should give it form. I longed so much to be a spirit then, to lay myself upon that couch of clouds and rest in heaven’s light. So I dreamed.
