Short Poem: Desert Storm

Tonight, there’s rain in the desert,
and the storm’s like roaring lions.
From West to East I see it fall,
and from North to South it’s pouring.
In the darkness, the rivers are flooding,
but we are dry under this roof.
Together, we are warm
while outside it’s cold.
Tonight, there’s rain in the desert,
but together, we are safe from the storm.
