Reflection: Mad World

I saw myself reflected in a dark mirror; Upon the stage I stood and saw myself distantly. The lights were on me, and before me was darkness: I saw myself in the darkness. There I stood quivering, alone. I kept my eyes on the vision, and I sang. I knew myself, found myself, in the darkness.

“I find it hard to tell you,” I told myself, “I find it hard to take. I hate you. Everything I see before me is disgusting. You are the product of the world you hate, so how are you any better than your sire?”
