Okay, just to level with you all, I am tired. I really enjoyed this rather brief speech Klavan gave and wanted to share it. Other than that, I don’t want to write anything; I want to go to bed. However, I will consider the evangelical duty of an artist: As a Christian longing to become an artist, I hope to engage in the kind of Jesus smuggling Klavan expounds upon here, and I believe his diagnosis of the culture is quite accurate: Men have rejected Truth; we love darkness rather than light.
