I find I have little time today for a blog post. Please enjoy this little poem I threw together. The form became too constrictive in the end, and I wish I could imagine a better close.
The sea wrecked ship, its splintered wonder
by stormy waves is teared asunder,
and shoreless in that dark, black gale
was I bereft with no avail.
And deep the waves then drowned me,
and all that was around me:
the swirling, hopeless storm,
in ever-changing form.
The world, chaotic,
of the aquatic
held me below
in bitter woe.
Then it broke.
I awoke
to light,
not night.
Land
Sand.
Welcome to the shore line, Doctor.

I’m happy you made it to land 😀 Good poem. About the end, I kind of wanted it to end just there, with “land”, breaking the rhyme sequence. Might be just me, though.
